The Beginning — Wolf Steel Ltd. Founded
Wolfgang Schroeter establishes Wolf Steel Ltd. in Barrie, Ontario, a small steel fabrication company that would become the parent company of Napoleon products.
1981
First Napoleon Wood Stove
The Napoleon brand launches with its first wood stove — a cast iron unit that immediately distinguishes itself through build quality and heat retention performance.
1993
Gas Fireplaces Enter the Lineup
Napoleon expands into gas fireplace manufacturing, bringing the same engineering rigour that defined the wood stove line to direct-vent and B-vent gas appliances.

Grills Launch — and the WAVE Grid is Born
