I inspect grill and fireplace deliveries before they go out to dealers. 2. What Should You Do When the Project Has a Hard Deadline?

This is the one place where I have a strong opinion: certainty is worth paying for. In March 2024, I approved a $355 rush-freight charge so a Napoleon propane grill would reach an outdoor kitchen before a May 1 inspection. Honestly, it felt wasteful at the moment. The fastest way to force quit on Windows is to open Task Manager with Ctrl+Shift+Esc, find the program under Apps, select it and click End Task. If the program is running in the background, look for it under Background processes before ending it.

If the window is completely frozen and Task Manager is under another window, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and choose Task Manager from the lock screen menu. In some cases, you need to restart the browser instead of the whole computer.

I remember one $18,000 order that froze on the payment screen. I used Ctrl+Shift+Esc, ended the browser process, reopened it and the order was still in the cart. The panic was worse than the fix.

7. When Is It Time to Replace the Glass Instead of Using More Cleaner?

If stains on fireplace glass remain after proper cleaning, do not keep adding chemicals. Remove the glass panel according to the manual and inspect. Cracks, chips along the edge or seal failure mean replacement. A deep cleaning is not worth the risk of using a screen protector or a glass cleaner that the panel was not designed for.

Use the part number from the manual, not a generic cut-to-size glass replacement. Napoleon gas fireplace glass is manufactured with specific tolerances because it is sitting near a burner.
